Multi-location vs location question

We have completely run out of w/h space and have hired a 3PL for one of our lines temporarily (3-5 mths).  I am going to send all the stock to them so I was planning on keeping the inventory on my books the way it is right now.  We will email orders to them daily, they will email back shipment info, etc. for me to invoice.  Question I have is:  Would it be better ff I set up locations/multi-location, so that when entering the sales order will it split the order into two for the location?  or do I have
