Item Setup

I need suggestions on how to organize/setup items so that it is easier to find when creating estimates and opportunities.

Seems like it is just one big long list in netsuite.

In other systems I've used I was able to setup product databases (by vendor) with sub-folders to structure the category of items from that vendor.

Any advice would be appreciated.
