"Random" Cost of Sales Adjustment
So . . . We were researching why a product had a negative margin. In researching the item detail we found that we went negative in the item, (it's an assembly, which we built and shipped out less this item,. and when we got it in shipped the item out. An item receipt was done for the product coming in but no fulfillment was do because it was already account for when the assembly was sent out.)
The problem occurred when we received the item into inventory. The item receipt brought the product into stock but also created a Cost of Sales Adjustment. We can figure out why.
