inventory organisation

edited Nov 26, 2019 8:42AM in Accounting / ERP 2 comments

i am new to netsuite and i want to set up my inventory in a way that allows me to have groups and then items into those groups.
i am a photographic rental company and i am trying to decide how to organize everything.
i would have though that groups within groups could be good. e.g
cameras-35mm/ medium format/ large format. then inside those three groups would be canon/hasselblad/mamiya/etc. and then inside these would be the actual cameras.
OR
is it better to just have say canon as a group and then have bodies/lenses/accessories/etc

Howdy, Stranger!
