What is "Inventory Number Options" Field?

There is a field labeled "Inventory Number Options" on the Custom tab of a Lot Numbered Inventory Item. What is it? how do I use it?

The field-level help shows "not available" (which is another problem :mad: ). Also, I can not find anything in the Online Help or PDFs about this field.

NetSuite, can you please provide details?
