Formula to Display On-Hand Count with Units
If you maintain inventory as both NetSuite Inventory Items and Assembly Items, then you will know what a challenge it is to produce a saved search (or report) that shows you the current on-hand count with the UNITS also displayed.
For Inventory Items, the On-Hand units are always the {StockUnit}
For Assembly Items, NetSuite does NOT support any type of Units of Measure. So we have created several custom fields to record the units for AI. One of these is {Base Units}.
Here is a formula that will display the on-hand quantity with units, and will work for all Item types:
