Why doesn't Estimated Demand Change work?
A few months back, I filed an issue with support because our auto-calculated inventory numbers are not being altered by the number entered in the 'estimated demand change' field (defect 163457). To my surprise, there seems to be little interest in this feature... No one really chimed in on my other thread, and our issue was downgraded from S2 to S3 (which means there is no fix in the works, and a workaround is available).
The 'workaround' is to manually set all of our reorder points. That's not an option for us. We love using the auto-calculated inventory levels because for most items and situations it does a fairly decent job of managing our 20,000+ skus. But we want to be able to project future growth, and that's where EDC comes in.
