Turning multi location on->do I rename the old locations and create new locations?

All the existing transactions in the system have a location used in both the Header and Line of the transactions even  though multi location wasn't turned on.

I want to turn multi location on.

So I need to create new locations after turning multi location on or if it is ok not to change anything and just distribute all items to "Location A" even though Location A was already in the transactions.
