Support for foreign languages

edited Nov 26, 2019 8:39AM in Accounting / ERP

We are investigating displaying our items in multiple languages.  Ideally we would use NetSuite's Multi-Language functionality but I am seeing several show stopper issues.  Has anyone effectively used NS with multiple languages?

Some of the challenges I see at this point are:

1. No Web Services support for translated information (Item Descriptions, Web Descriptions, etc.).  We need to take data out of the system and put it into legacy systems in the local language.

2. No ability to export Items with foreign description detail.  We need to deliver price books to customers that are generated outside of NS's basic functionality.

3. No ability to default printing of transactions in customer's default language.  It appears this is a manual selection.  Not sure what will be added as an attachment to an email template.

Howdy, Stranger!
