Demand Planning

I just ran into an issue that is making me bang my head against the wall - I'm not sure if its me or its the system:  In the item record, under demand source, you must select "Forcast from Demand Plan" to use the module.  When I set up the system months ago, I did just that.  I was able to successfully generate item demand plans and supply plans.  Just recently, whenever I try to generate a supply plan, I get an error.  After working with support, we figured out that in view mode, nothing is showing up in the
