Serialized item mishap via Inventory Adjustment
Hey -
We often transfer serialized items (same product) into our rental program - however, they're two different items in our system.
Eg. (correct way)
Serialized Item 1 we adjusted down by -1, serial#: AAA
Serialized Item 2 (rental) we adjusted up by +1, serial#AAA
By accident, we transferred +1 to the wrong item. (call it Item 3)
ie.
Serialized Item 1 we adjusted down by -1, serial#: AAA
Serialized Item 3 we adjusted up by +1, serial#AAA
Our tech edited the original inventory adjustment and changed the "serialized item 3" to "serialized item 2 (rental)" in the hopes it would fix the typo.
Problem that arose:
Serialized Item 1: No longer has serial#: AAA (as expected)
