Demand Planning Module - can it be used with Kits and Assemblies

We have recently installed the new Demand Planning module.  Netsuites  has  told us that it works with Kits but not Assemblies. Netsuites has told us it works with Assemblies but not Kits.  WHICH IS IT?  :h_a_w:
