Inventory VS. Non-Inventory Items
Hey all,
My colleague and I are working on a Bill of Materials for a subsidiary and have run into a classification conundrum. The subsidiary in question outsources the manufacturing of the item in question to another company, but it still owns the materials that go in and final product that come out, with one exception. This exception is created by the manufacturing company themselves, and they have asked that it be treated as a purchase from them for all intents and purposes. The issue with this is that the item will almost always be used in production once it is created,
