Display the Item Name/ID field on a journal transaction, w/out a custom column
We need to be able to create Journals that can be allocated to item records (ie non-inventory items) without creating a custom transaction column for the form. The reason is we create jnls to defer costs on sales of non-inventory items and want to use the item profitability reports to track our margin on item sales. therefore the COGS account needs to match the cost column in the profitability report.
I have added a custom column to the journal form, however you then need to select both columns to work in the report. Is there a way to get around this, by either combining the fields or by displaying the item name on the journal transaction?
