Can Kits/Packages have Item Options?

I know Matrix Inventory Items can have Item Options. Can Kits/Packages have Item Options aswell? If yes, where do you set them because the Item Edit screen doesn't have anything under the 'Accounting' tab where we usually set Matrix Item Options.

Note: the item options we have created have 'APPLY TO KIT/ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS' ticked but we still cannot find where to set a kits item options.
