Inverse Kit

I have a situation where I need to purchase an item (one single part number) from my vendor and resell it as two separate components (two different part numbers).  In essence, I need the opposite of a kit to handle this scenario.  It's an odd situation and am curious if you collection of big brains have run into this and have any suggestions.  Thanks.
