Inventory Transfer - Quantity Available column

I need to display the Quantity Available at the column level for Inventory Transfers. If I add a custom field and source from quantity available, it pulls the full quantity across all locations, not just for the location from which the inventory is to be transferred. Has anyone been able to get this to display? It would be really useful since the column displayed for inventory on hand does not account for any quantities currently committed.
