Switching from FIFO to Average Cost

Hi,

My company is looking to switch from FIFO to Average Cost. Wondering if anyone has any experience doing so. We have 80k+ SKUs, not all of them active, but in case of future orders we would like to switch every one over. We understand, according to NetSuite help, that we would have to inactive every SKU. Just looking for some insight.
