What happens (behind the scenes) when a Campaign is excuted?

I am trying to get an understanding of what happens behind the scenes when a campaign has been executed.

Info that I am looking for

- How many emails will be sent per batch?
- Does the emails per batch cause the email being flagged as a batch mailing?
- If you selected 1pm EST time for the campaign to be executed when will the emails start being sent?
- If someone has their email listed 3 times within your NetSuite db will they receive the email 3 times?

Just looking to fill in some blanks
