I've recently discovered how great scheduled saved search emails are for drip marketing. I currently have two running, one that sends customers a message thanking them for their purchase on the prior day. It names their rep, the store manager, the location, location phone #, and a whole bunch of other things that cannot be done with a marketing campaign email. Another sends a message to people that purchased their product one year ago and lists some of the info above. You can even use formulas in the email to convert dates to long dates, correct case in names, etc.
