MN Drops Reciprocal Agreement with WI Effective 1/1/10

As you may be aware, Minnesota will end individual income tax reciprocity with Wisconsin effective January 1, 2010. This change will automatically be reflected in your NetSuite account.


IMPORTANT:
There are reportorial requirements with regard to the termination of the reciprocity agreement so please contact your Tax Consultant or the State Tax Agency for details.

Wisconsin Employers Employing Minnesota Residents

Clients who are Wisconsin employers with employees who are Minnesota residents should ask their employees to complete Form WT-4, Employee’s Wisconsin Withholding Exemption Certificate/New Hire Reporting before their first payroll after January 1, 2010. This form is available at
