Regarding MasterCard's: New Requirements for All Prepaid and Debit Cards

The new requirements are for partial approval and real-time reversals (full or partial) for all Debit MasterCard and Maestro branded programs (including Prepaid) and Account Balance Response for Prepaid transactions.

These new MasterCard requirements apply to Point-of-sale (POS) payment applications for card present merchants.

All merchants are encouraged to comply, but it is not a MasterCard requirement at this time for e-commerce or card-not-present merchants, including those processing via NetSuite, to comply.

We understand the benefit of this new functionality however, and are working towards full support. Timing for release of this new functionality is not yet determined.
