One component is the NetSuite application software, and the other component is the databases where we store your NetSuite account data. Some of your account data is stored in Oracle databases, running Oracle database software.

For security, performance, supportability, and features, we periodically apply patches and minor upgrades to the Oracle database software. In addition, every few years we perform a major version upgrade to the Oracle database software. This notification is to inform you that in a few months, we will begin a major upgrade to Oracle database software.
