Malaysia’s Sales and Service Tax (SST) on September 1, 2018
  
This notice is intended for customers with a Malaysia subsidiary and you installed the International Tax Reports SuiteApp.

Effective September 1, 2018, Sales and Service Tax (SST) will be implemented in Malaysia to replace the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

       
What is Changing?Recommended Action
Beginning September 1, 2018, the Sales and Services Tax (SST) tax codes should be used in transactions and a new SST Return will be required for submission every two months. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) tax codes are valid for use in transactions until August 31, 2018 and the GST Return will also be applicable only until this period.
