Unable to process Credit Cards

Our set up: Worldpay with multiple currencies (USD,GBP)

Problem: Unable to process GBP sales orders for MC, Maestro, Solo, and Switch (error message PMI.badCurrency); All Visa transactions go through without a problem in both USD and GBP

Attempts to solve problem: We have spent the last week corresponding with WorldPay technical staff in the UK... very courteous, yet no solution. One Worldpay rep claims we are the only NS user with GBP debit card acceptance, and that the problem may exist at NS and not with our setup. Additionally, we have verified that the correct charging and settlement currency values are set in NS.
