Implementation of New Credit Card Processor - PROTX

Has anyone tried working with a non Netsuite supported Credit Card Processor. The UK supported companies are quite expensive and we would like to retain our current one, which is less than half the price. Anyone sharing his experience, knowledge would be very helpful.
