3D Secure and Maestro

OK, so I got this reminder message from Worldpay:

This is a reminder as per previous communications sent in 2009 that it is now mandatory for 3D Secure to be in place for all ecommerce Maestro payments that we process on behalf of our merchants. This change was required in order to comply with the MasterCard SecureCode mandate for Maestro payments.



I was wanting to get a bit of opinion from the community on this.  We are not using 3D secure at all at the moment - my feeling is that we would get a lot of failed transactions and lost sales as a result.  What are others' experiences of this?
