Inserting a custom record with a id

edited May 29, 2020 5:23PM in SuiteCloud / Customization 1 comment

Hi,
My NetSuite has a custom record type of "Serial Number".   It has 3 fields:

Sales Order,  custrecordsales_order,  List/Record,  Transaction
Item,  custrecorditem,  List/Record, Item
Comments, custrecord_comments, Free-Form Text

Numbering is enabled and allow override is checked.  I want to use the ID as the serial number.  Through the NetSuite UI I can add a record, un-check the "auto" checkbox, type a serial number, sales order, item, and comments and it saves.  Through web services 2.0,  I can insert a record and have the Serial Number (ID) auto-increment, but I cannot insert a record and try to force a Serial Number.

Howdy, Stranger!
