Data import using web services

Hi

I am trying to do a data import of customers and notes. As it is a Netsuite Small Business account, the import of notes has to be done via Web services as opposed to smbXML.

My question is this: Is it possible to load a smbXML file via Web services or does it have to be done through normal Add and Upadate record using Web services?
