Discount Item

Hello,

I am creating a sales order to be submitted to NetSuite, and I have got it all working except for one thing. The discount item.

I thought I would have to use a recordref to getall the discount items, but I don't see any in the list for the recordref.recordType.

Can someone point me in the right direction on how to have a sales order have discount? I tried skipping the discountitem and just putting in the discountRate, but it gave me an error that the total=37. Since I don't pass any prices, I am not sure how I got that error.
