accessing URL for storeDisplayThumbnail and storeDisplayImage

I see there is a thread almost 2 years old about this, but it offers no insight into the current status. Is there some way to access the image urls for a particular inventory item via the 2.6 WSDL? I seem to get the name and internalId only.
