SuiteScripts + XML communicating with FLEX User Interface

Hi all,

I am having an idea of designing a rich User Interface (using FLEX) to communicate Netsuite database, but I am new to the suitescripts, I know how to request and handle the data in Flex, but my concern is to retrieve/save data in to Netsuite database, using suitescripts  via XML (http request) without using a separate web services.

This is just an idea please help me for this to solve this out, is it possible to apply my concept in to a real world solution then please give some hints, and are there any drawback of this concepts please..
