RESTful requests using HTTP methods: POST, GET, PUT and DELETE

Are there any plans to support REST by extending the NetSuite API to permit HTTP requests using methods like PUT, DELETE and HEAD?

Currently nlapiRequestURL only supports GET and POST.

Supporting additional HTTP methods would make it easier for developers to integrate NetSuite with web services such as Amazon AWS, Twitter, Flickr, Google and more.
