Update Invoice record - shipping charge added

We are updating a single custom field on Invoice transactions.  Occasionally, a mystery shipping charge is appearing after update and would seem to be something that is being added automatically by Netsuite during the update process. 

No shipping charge exists in the SOAP being sent.

Any information on how to prevent this would be great...
