Determine the payment type of a payment based on a single field/attribute

We are utilizing Vendor Payment API and have a question regarding payment type. From what we can tell, NetSuite payment types are driven off multiple fields.

[*]Account Type - Possible values of “Bank” or “Credit Card”
[*]To ACH (Yes/No)
[/LIST]
Is there a way to determine the payment type (Card, ACH, Check, etc.) of a payment based on a single field/attribute?
