Are there any RESTLet projects?

It seems that building RESTlets is the preferred way to interact with NetSuite through APIs now, and that you're supposed to build these yourself. However surely someone has made an open source project that handles this? Or does everyone just reinvent the wheel each time so that it can be coupled to their use cases and I'm thinking about it wrong?
