Accessing SuiteScript from ecommerce store

I would like to call or access one of my scripts from my netsuite webstore. The script will return data that I will then display on my website. What is the best way to go about doing this? I figured it would be to create a suitelet and then access this via XMLHttpRequest() but this doesn't seem to work.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice.
