Getting company metadata

I've just started looking at writing some Java code (based on the sample), and I need to get company metadata such as what you can get through the UI by going
Setup -> Company -> Company Information.

Can someone please show me how to get that information through the SuiteTalk web service?

UPDATE: I found the answer a few days after posting this. The information is in the Subsidiary record.
