Netsuite webservice not working with JDK7 suspect due to TSL 1.2 support only?

From later last year, the sandbox webserive client failed to connect with Java 1.7 using the sample java axis client from netsuite. Although now still no exception from production instance. We suspect it is due the TSL update to support 1.2 earlier, as if we change to java 1.8, it is fine. Not sure if there is still a way to use java 1.7 or not?

Anyone can help on this. thanks
