Communicating with NetSuite from external app to specific logged in user?
First off, it looks as if this forum gets little activity as others with similar questions have gone unanswered, but hopefully there is someone who is willing to offer some advice on this to at least know what is doable or not.
I want to integrate our software-based PBX to handle an incoming call and send the incoming phone number to a specific logged in user in NetSuite so it populates some variable, dashboard, or launches a suitelet in their browser. We know we could likely simply post to the user's browser but this seems like a bit of a hack as there are a number of things (e.g. wrong tab, wrong browser, etc) that could go wrong in making it work consistently.
