smbXML queries not returning non-ASCII chars

edited May 22, 2020 7:23PM in SuiteCloud / Customization

We are using .NET to run queries against our NetSuite account and it would seem that the returned document is not encoded correctly.  When examining the returned byte stream, all non-ASCII characters are returned as ? - at least this is what we are seeing in the returned byte stream.

Is this to be expected?  In not can you point me to a .NET sample that works so that I may see where we are going wrong.

We have now tried this with both a third party control and the built-in .NET HTTP libraries and in both cases, we get the same result.  It would seem that NS is encoding these documents as ASCII only.

Howdy, Stranger!
