Address form/record - certain custom field type accessible ?

I have 2 custom fields : custrecord_sf_id (text field) and custrecord_sync_status (drop-down field)  on a Custom Address Form (for US as country).

In UI, both fields save data after saving.

With the Integration, only one field (Sync_Status) picks up the data from the sync.    I read that the custom fields on Address form are not accessible to the script?  Is this still the same as currently?
How did this happen:  one got updated and other one missed?
