Customer Tenure Setup Suggestions

Dear all,

Our Customers belong to various Groups (Custom Records). A Customer can only belong to 1 Group, but a Customer can start with a Group, then resign from that Group, then later rejoin that, or any other Group that we have open.

I have created a Tenure (Custom Record) subtab in our Customer record in an attempt to:

   a) record a Customer's history with us; and
   b) be able to then extract meaningful data based on Customer tenure with us (via Saved Searches for instance).

My question is how can I best record tenure history in NS? Does anyone have a proven suggestion based on what you have done?
