Inventory Turnover Average Value

Hi,

I need to use inventory turnover report, we found average value formula is SUM(on hand value of the last day each month) / (months in period)

but I need to use (Beginning Inventory + Ending Inventory) /2 as the average value so that to report to my supervisor...

does anyone have the same question?
