Best Process for a Failed Delivery and Reschedule for Following Day?
What would your recommendations be to deal with this scenario:
- Sales Order is placed for delivery tomorrow, and fulfilled to Pack status in the evening.
- Delivery details exported from fulfilment record to third party routing system
- Once routed, deliver details are imported back into NetSuite
- Delivery Notes are printed, with delivery route and stop information on the delivery note
- Delivery driver goes to site tomorrow, but is unable to deliver (e.g. site is inaccessible).
- Driver bring items back to warehouse tomorrow evening, and delivery is rescheduled for day after tomorrow.
- Fulfilment record is updated with new delivery date, and re-exported to routing system
