IP Addresses Impacted with New CDNs for Web Services and REST Production Domains
This notification is intended for customers with NetSuite production accounts that access the webservices.netsuite.com, rest.netsuite.com, or content.netsuite.com domains. Starting on Thursday, October 3, 2019, these domains will be dynamically routed through content delivery networks, or CDNs. When CDNs are in use in a network, IP addresses cannot be guaranteed. IP addresses are subject to change at any time. IP address assignments are not under the control of Oracle NetSuite. IP address assignment is handled by the CDN providers.
The CDNs will ensure high availability as well as the most optimal routing for calling discovery methods on these domains. However, CDNs do not provide a fixed IP address. We cannot determine whether your company has IP address rules in place for the webservices.netsuite.com or rest.netsuite.com domains. Any IP address-based rules for these domains currently in place in your company firewall will break when the CDNs are introduced.
