Is there a way to show the amount remaining on a AP bill?

Hi

I am looking to create a formula field on the AP bill form, so that users can see the remaining amount to be paid on an AP bill when the view it. The bill may already have a payment applied to it, or a vendor credit. I don't think off the shelf Netsuite has such a field.

Any instructions on how to do this would be much appreciated.
