Upcoming Change to Prefill Inventory Details on Certain Transaction Types
This notification informs you about the NetSuite Version 2020.1 update that will affect inventory detail customizations on line items of select transaction types. In particular, this change will apply to accounts that use the Inventory Status feature. You should test any related customizations and update them before your scheduled account upgrade.
What is Changing?
As of NetSuite 2020.1, if you use the Inventory Status feature, inventory details will be prefilled on certain types of transactions for inventory items that meet the following conditions:
- Inventory items that are not serial or lot-numbered
- Inventory items that do not use bins
Note: If you use the Inventory Status feature but have not yet set up inventory status records, this enhancement will follow the default behavior of using the Good inventory status to prefill the inventory details of your items. For more information, see
