Upcoming Removal of All Bank Files from All Databases
This notification is to alert you of the planned removal of all imported bank and credit card statement files from the NetSuite database. This removal is targeted for the 2020.1 release.
Why is this Removal of Files Occurring?
Bank and credit card statement files contain private and confidential financial information, including unmasked credit card numbers in plain text. NetSuite encrypts and maintains these files in a database in a PCI-compliant manner. However, since there is no business need to retain these files indefinitely, this upcoming change will further mitigate any risk of disclosure.
What is Changing?
As of NetSuite 2020.1:
- NetSuite will no longer store any imported bank or credit card statement files after processing.
