Employee Name Updates on PO

I am not aware of any Scripts or WFs that does this so it's not clear to me how this behaviour is possible unless there are some standard NetSuite settings...the employee name changes on a PO when a particular supplier/vendor is set otherwise the employee field defaulted correctly as the user logged in. Why would the employee change on the PO? I cannot find any references on the vendor record/item that might suggest there is a pre-setup.
